Indian fast bowler Navdeep Saini, who recently received a call-up to India's Test squad for the upcoming West Indies tour, showcased his skills in the County Championship before joining the national team. Saini traveled to England to play as a part of Worcestershire in the prestigious tournament.

 On June 25, Saini made an immediate impact as he was included in the Worcestershire side for their match against Derbyshire. To the delight of his team and himself, Saini struck with his very first ball of the season, dismissing Derbyshire opener Harry Came.

 Originally contracted to play four matches with Worcestershire in June, Saini's plans were altered due to his selection for the Indian national team. Consequently, he will now only feature in one match for Worcestershire before joining the Indian squad for the highly anticipated two-match Test series against West Indies.
